GOOD CALL GARAGE / BRAKE NOTES

Brake noise? Here’s what to tell us.

Useful details for a brake-service conversation, without guessing at the repair.

Useful details for a brake-service conversation, without guessing at the repair.

01 / GOOD TO KNOW

Make the description specific

Tell us whether the noise happens while braking, when moving slowly or all the time. Include which corner it seems to come from, how long it has been happening and any recent brake work. You do not need to remove a wheel to make the first call.

02 / GOOD TO KNOW

Mention pedal feel and warning lights

A noise is only part of the picture. Report changes in pedal feel, stopping performance, vibration or an illuminated brake warning. A message or symbol can mean different things by vehicle; check your owner’s manual.

03 / GOOD TO KNOW

If braking feels unsafe, don’t drive

If the brakes are not operating normally, or a brake warning remains on, stop using the vehicle and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for assistance. Discuss a safe service location or recovery before arranging work. A phone description cannot establish that the vehicle is safe to drive.

04 / GOOD TO KNOW

Pads and rotors are separate in the quote

Good Call’s brake-pad labor starts at $135 for one axle or $250 for both. Pads, rotors and any other agreed parts are extra. Tell us the vehicle and symptoms so the scope can be discussed before booking.
